2nd High Rock Lake Battle of the Chefs – July 21, 2012

On July 21, 2012, the 2nd High Rock Lake Battle of the Chefs was held at the Allied Veterans Post #17 (AKA the L’il Bar or Southmont Country Club).  (8) chefs contested for a trophy and cash prize.  Dishes presented included chicken, pork, seafood, stir fry, casserole, and desert.  48 meal tickets were sold.  2 lbs. of food per person was provided.  The NEW champion is Scott Beasley winning with his Japanese stir-fry which was comprised of chicken, beef, shrimp and other possibly “secret” ingredients.  DJ Ervin Ellington provided good music afterwards.  A great time was had by on and all – over $600 was raised for charity.  Next battle will be held around the 3rd weekend of January 2013.  Per Terry Larimore – pictures by Terry Larimore
