The fourth installment of the “Battle of the Chefs” was, as always, fantastic!!!! We had six new participants, a great selection of dishes, and a great turn out. 48 folks ate and judged. Rick Franks, (Shug’s shug), was crowned the new champion with his marvelous chicken pie. A very close second was Rene’s daughter with what some said was the best cheesecake they have EVER had. Third place went to the “mystery chef” (me) with a seafood casserole. The half and half was won by me and all donated back to the River Rats charity fund. A GREAT time was had by all, and we raised a net $618.00 FOR THE KIDS!!!!!! Rick will have the chance to defend his crown in January, 2014. Thanks to all 7 of the chefs that participated for their time and donation to this worthy cause.
